Do's and Don'ts

Do’s

  • The park is experienced at its best when you are silent
  • Check timings of entries with local staff and stick to schedule
  • Book in advance for safari and other ecotourism packages
  • Using trekking shoes is recommended for the climate and the terrain
  • Bring a binocular for a better experience
  • Cooperate with the field staff when you are within the park
  • Use green, blue, grey or other dull shades for dressing instead of bright and colorful ones
  • Carry medicines if you use them regularly
  • Be physically fit for a bumpy ride and a short trekking
  • Beware of wild animals. Keep your distance from them
  • Your selfies matter, but so does other’s privacy. Respect fellow travelers

Don’ts

  • Use of alcohol, cigarettes or any drugs is strictly prohibited
  • Do not carry arms or any other weapons
  • Don’t go off the trail
  • Don’t carry any type of inflammable materials
  • Avoid all types of cosmetics and valuable ornaments
  • Avoid perfumes/ aromatic balms/creams during the trip
  • Take nothing from the forest and don’t litter
  • Don’t use mobile phones (or keep in Silent mode) / i- podes etc. while visiting
  • Avoid unnecessary plastic materials
  • Damaging the vegetation or hurting wildlife is a punishable offence
