The national Park was reopened for visitors on 7th April 2018. The renovated watch tower and hanging bridge at Sairendhri was inaugurated by M.B. Rajesh MP and Adv. N. Shamsudheen MLA. Along with the reopening of park, the revamped website of Silent Valley National Park was also launched by Wildlife Warden Samuel V. Pachuau. District Panchayat member C. Radhakrishnan, Block Panchayat member Valsala. Panchayat member Sajana Navas, Asst. conservator of forest, Ajith K.Raman, Asst. Wildlife Warden Najmal Ameen, Dept. Range Officer Ranjith Kumar and R.Satyan were present in the event. The 30m tall watch tower is glass given glass panels on each floor for better viewing. Yearly, Silent Valley receives over 25000 visitors.
